Leadership: Helping Bags Campaign

HDC Leadership students are spearheading our 2nd annual service project called Helping Bags.  Our goal is to collect items to fill 30 gift bags with items for people in need.

This project will run from November 23-December 11.  We will be collecting a variety of items for the homeless, assembling them into bags for individuals, and distributing them to the Mustard Seed in December.

9-1 Please bring in gum and mints for our contribution to Helping Bags.

9-2 Please bring deodorant for our contribution to Helping Bags.

We Are Silent Campaign Next Week

Me to We Group is organizing our next campaign to support We Are Silent.

Me to We’s goal this year is to fundraise for EDUCATION in Nicaragua. Every $25 dollars raised helps to buy a student learning kit.

Today, there are 25 million young people like you around the world who will never be able to go to school. Ever. That is 25 million voices that are going unheard and WE want YOU to act now. This November, use your voice by…..not using it.

On Thursday, November 19, please take a vow of silence to turn up the volume on the struggles of children fighting for their basic human rights.

You can sign up starting next Monday in the front office. We will be collecting donations –anything helps. What will you go silent for?

Here is Molly Burke explaining what does "We Are Silent" means to her.
